Welcome! My name is Giselle Jones, though many know me as Gigi. I’m a fourth-year student at Penn State University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in Digital Media Trends & Analytics, along with a certificate from the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism.
With a passion for impactful storytelling and a deep interest in media, I work to find the "why." Why do you get up at four in the morning to practice? Why does it drive you to get on the field or court every day? Why do you commit your life to this sport?
I currently work with a range of dynamic organizations—including ESPN+, B1G+, Penn State Athletics, Culture Central (Penn State News Network), the Penn State Sports Business Conference, NABJ and others. Reporting for thousands of viewers, these experiences have allowed me to sharpen my skills in on-camera reporting, digital content creation, and behind-the-scenes production as I was awarded the Knight Scholarship for excellence in Sports Journalism and sent to cover the Super Bowl with the Associated Press.
When I'm not on sidelines or in the studio, you can find me in the gym, watching movies and documentaries or hiking!
